The Arizona Voter Project assembles and documents Arizona’s statewide voter file across build dates, then turns it into research infrastructure and public data products. I direct the project with support from a University of Arizona RII grant.
The public modules are in beta: figures are preliminary and will migrate to the official project site.
- My Story — a guided walk through what a voter file is and what it records about a registrant.
- Explorer — registration, roll churn, and time-series comparisons across counties, districts, precincts, and block groups.
- Party — party transitions estimated from a continuous-time Markov model, so irregular file windows share one rate clock.
- Common Ground — where Arizonans agree, by geography and party.
- Voting — precinct-level turnout and vote distributions.
- Understanding the file — field definitions, de-identification, small-cell suppression, and build-over-build comparisons.
